Ilim helps form Russian trade group in Germany
Leading Russian-based sawn timer producer Ilim Timber is one of the founders of a new group to promote Russian trade in Germany. Ilim
joined other leading Russian companies, including steel producer
Severstal, in Berlin to form the Council of the Russian Economy. Ilim Timber operates two large sawmills in Germany, at Wismar and Landsberg, with a combined sawn output of about 2 million m³. “Investments
by Russian companies in the German economy are a reality and we need a
civilised dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders in Germany,” said
Boris Zingarevich, chairman of Ilim Timber.
