Production Volumes of Ukrainian Woodworking Industry Increased by 25.3%
The production volumes at the companies of the Ukrainian woodworking industry increased by 25.3% during January-June 2002 in comparison with the same period of the last year. The State Committee of Statistics reported about it.
As it was reported, the production of plywood, particle boards and matches increased by 42-52%, the production of parquet increased by 10.1% during January-June 2002 in comparison with January-June 2001. At the same time the production of wood packages and sash pulleys decreased by 9-13%, the production of fiber boards and saw-timbers decreased by 1.7-2.6%.
According to the data of the State Committee of Statistics, the production volumes in pulp and paper industry decreased by 5% in June 2002 in comparison with the previous month, but they increased by 3.5% during January-June of the current year in comparison with the same period of the last year. The volumes of paper production decreased by 13.1% in June 2002 in comparison with May. At the same time the production of paper bags increased by 11-17% and the production of pasteboard boxes increased by 2.5%.
