Shortage of building materials in Sweden
It is more and more difficult to find plaster board, insulation
materials and wood, among other things. In the last six months the
price of certain types of planed board has increased by 40 %.
Do-it-yourself stores are quickly running out of wood. Some suppliers
have had to introduce delivery quotas in order to achieve a reasonably
equitable distribution among retailers. For building firms the shortage
has resulted in delays and interruptions of building and renovation
jobs while waiting for new supplies.
