Russian timber sector to increased production 6.5% in 2004
Russian timber, timber-processing and pulp and paper industrial production will reach 106.5% in 2004 compared with the prior period in 2003, Ministry of economic development and trade announced in the recently published ‘Forecast on the social and economic development of the Russian Federation and main forecast parameters up to 2007’.
According to the ministerial forecast, the following sectors will show advancing development rates — cardboard production (+7%), plywood (+8%), paper (+9%), boards (10%).
