The privatization of Russian largest timber enterprises is not advisable: Federal Agency on Timber Sector
The Russian Federal Agency on Timber Sector believes that the privatization of 3 major timber enterprises – Moslesproject, Voronezhlesproject and Ozherelyevsky Plodolesopitomnik is not advisable. The following announcement was made on August, 25 by the director of the Federal Agency on Timber Sector Roman Shipov.
'The agency is astounde by the fact that the key timber sector enterprises are on the privatization list' said Roman Shipov expressing a hope that the enterprises will remain federal property.
According to the director of the president's expert department Arkadi Dvorkovich said on August, 25 that the government will introduce the proposal on the enterprises to be privatized.
According to Roman Shipov, Moslesproject and Voronezhlesproject control the forestry organization works in the Central, Southern and Privolzshky Federal districts and provide the estimation of forestries.
The territories under control from Ozherelyevsky Plodolesopitomnik house the only Federal fund of seeds of forest plants.
