Global forest and paper industry leaders to convene in Vancouver to discuss plans for next decade
During the week of May 29 to June 3 2005, senior executives from the world's leading forest and paper products companies, government policy makers, analysts, suppliers and customers will meet in Vancouver, Canada to discuss industry issues and plans to address challenges facing the forest and paper industry over the next ten years.
The event, called Summit 2005: The Future of the Global Forest and Paper Industry, is being organized by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC). Participating organizations include: the International Council of Forest and Paper Associations; the American Forest and Paper Association; the Confederation of European Paper Industries; the Malaysia Pulp and Paper Manufacturers Association; and the Brazilian Pulp and Paper Association.
PwC's 18th Annual Global Forest and Paper Industry Conference, to be held on June 1, 2005, will be one of the features of Summit 2005. Other industry association and stakeholder meetings will take place throughout the week. Related ancillary events will be organized and hosted by key industry stakeholders linked with the Summit 2005 plenary sessions.
