New MDF-Plant in Poland
Pfleiderer plans to invest a total of around € 100 million in the construction of a new MDF/HDF plant. Currently, various locations are being looked at in order to see where the best cost advantages can be found. Planning and construction will last around two years, with production due to go on stream at the end of 2006.
As a result of this move, Pfleiderer Engineered Wood will be expanding its product portfolio with own production MDF /HDF (medium-density fibreboard / high-density fibreboard), a carrier material used by the furniture and flooring industries. This must be seen as a clear response to the increasing demand for MDF by the furniture industry. Pfleiderer
