Romania: Competition Council fines Kronospan
Romania abuses the dominant position on the Romanian chipboard market says the Romanian Competition Council. The institution fined last week the Kronospan to 870,000 Euros (34 bill ROL). Further the company will be monitored for 24 months.
Reason for the investigation by the competition council was the complaint by Romanian furniture manufactures. Kronospan rose the prices by 40% after they acquired in June the factories of Frati in Sebes. IHB Internationale Holzboerse GmbH
