UK Timber Price Indices

Coniferous standing sales prices in Great Britain were 4.6 percent higher in real terms in the year to March 2005, compared with the previous year. This increase is in contrast to the longer-term trend in standing sales prices. The average price per cubic metre overbark standing was Ј6.13 in nominal terms (Ј5.48 in 1996 prices) in the year to March 2005.
The Softwood Sawlog Price Index was 5 per cent higher in real terms in the year to March 2005, compared with the previous year.
