Industrial production in Estonian wood industry increased 3% in July 2007

In July 2007 the industrial production in Estonia increased compared to July in the previous year but decreased compared to June of the present year. Compared with the beginning of the year the growth rate has slightly slowed down in industry. The wood industry, which had been decreasing since the beginning of the year, increased 3% in July, according to Statistics Estonia.

In July 2007 compared to June, the seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased 1% in Estonia. When at the beginning of the year the total production in industry increased 8–9% compared with the corresponding period in the previous year, in July the industrial production increased 5% in industry as a whole, including 4% in manufacturing.
