In March, world chemical market pulp producer inventories increased by 7 000 tonnes compared to the previous month.
At current shipping rates, it is estimated that producers held 27 days of supply at the end of March, the same as last month. Pulp producers operated at 93 percent of capacity, 4 percentage points more than March last year. Market pulp shipments were up 3 percent year-over-year, and were 10 percent higher on a year-to-date basis.
