Illegal cuttings and the world market of wood
China is
the leading importer of forest products from the same countries
increases. Under messages of the nongovernmental organizations it is
supposed, that somewhere from 20 % up of the Japanese import — occurs
from illegal sources.Russia is the biggest supplier of logs of
coniferous wood on the Japanese market, for it follows the USA and New
Zealand. The larch, a pine (red pine) and a white fur-tree is imported
from the Far East Russia and usually competes to a pine radiant
(radiata pine) from New Zealand and Chile. Import from USA and Canada
is made with breeds of higher value of Douglas Firs and Canadian
hemlock. The origin of logs as a rule the Japanese importers is not
known. The state control, over sanctions to timber cutting in the east
of Russia, is weak.Though, approximately 25 % of the Russian export of
logs of coniferous wood is cut without legal approbation.
