Brazilian Furniture Exports Set to Rise
Brazil, the 9th largest supplier of wooden furniture to the US, looks set to increase its total furniture exports by 20 per cent this year. The world's 10th largest furniture producer, Brazil is currently only 24th in the league table of exporters, and according to AsiaFurnitek, the office furniture segment is leading the export drive. Office furniture was responsible for 25 per cent of the Brazilian furniture industry's R$10.35 billion (US$3.4 billion) revenue last year, and office furniture exporters are planning a major publicity campaign to increase their market share.
